Got a notification yesterday to say it was my 4 year anniversary of this blog so I had to make a post about it 🙂 4 years of this blog it seems crazy to think it’s been that long 😱. I started this account as part of a college project back in 2014 (where has the time gone 😱)under a different site name. The project went well I got good feedback and the lecturer was impressed with my post content and engagement level. People where interested in my posts to do with the project. I had to create multiple social media accounts for the “company/service” overall it was a fun project.
Then once I finished that college year I tried to keep the accounts active I still have them all but the only one I use is this one. I decided to change it, I suppose more update it and that’s when ItsEmer came about. Yes the post content is still the same topics as when I did the project but I’m also adding different topics which I wouldn’t have if I hadn’t changed the blog name. 4 years seems like a long time I post a lot more than I used to but I’m still not happy with it and want to post more.
My content is more of a mixture now which is good, engagement is improving, it seems like I’m getting more people reading my posts which make me happy. Obviously there is always more that can be achieved, my aim last year was to get 1,000 site hits which I didn’t manage so I was disappointed but then I looked back then realised I didn’t post as much as I thought I had that year so that amount of hits I had were quite good.
Growing this will take time, patience, hard work and commitment but I’m up for the challenge 💪 Thank you for supporting me this far hopefully you stay to see what else comes my way on here in the coming year (and more) 🙂
